Some steps for better assignments

Hello all, these are some notes from your mentors on the assignments you've submitted so far. The below are general notes on areas that need improvement. Please consider each as you complete the next assignment. 

Instructions

Read and follow the instructions. Complete each part of the assignment. If you decide to deviate from the prompt, be sure to check with Marty or the mentors before you get too far in. You will still be required to complete the assignment as it is distributed.

Writing

Edit your writing. Use hierarchy to set each section apart. Use bullets or numbers when listing things. Ask yourself if you would like to read this. Imagine if it were essential for you to quickly understand what this study was about some time in the future. Would you be able to understand what you’ve written a few years down the road?

Visuals
Sketches need not be professionally drawn, but care should be taken to photograph or scan them clearly. Insert into document, do not attach alongside. Annotate. Annotate. Annotate. Please use callouts, such as numbers or letters, that reference to the sections you are describing. If you highlight an essential aspect of the design, zoom in and increase the attention to that area. First show the overall design, then highlight the area you may decided to call our attention to. Walk us through the design like you are having a conversation that explains the functionality and interaction.

Save as PDF and include name/username in filename.
